ZELLER & SEYFERT are the registered legal representatives of 2,513 registered German trademarks at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) (as of 15.02.2021)
Every year, we apply for several hundred German trademarks for our clients at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, or Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt (DPMA). All trademark applications are filed with us by a lawyer. So far, we have filed a total of 2,513 German trade marks (as of February 15th, 2021) for our clients at the DPMA, which were then also registered in the German trademark register.
Fast registration of German trademarks by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA)
German trademarks are generally the fastest to register compared to trademarks in other countries. This is because in Germany – unlike in other countries – the trademark applied for is registered first and oppositions by third parties against this trademark are only admissible after its registration. So if you need a registered trademark quickly, e.g. because you have to prove to Amazon that you have a registered trademark, we recommend registering a German trademark.
The DPMA usually enters a trademark application in the trademark register within two weeks to two months after filing the application. Upon payment of an additional fee to the trademark office, an accelerated trademark application procedure can be carried out. In this case, the trademark is usually entered in the trademark register within 1 to 4 weeks after filing the application.
Our Guarantee: We file your application within 24 hours
We want to avoid delays in the filing of your trademark application in any case. We therefore expressly guarantee our clients that we will always file the trademark application within 24 hours after receipt of the application fees on our account. The trademark application will be personally filed by a lawyer at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). This guarantees an error-free and expeditious application in accordance with DPMA standards.
Efficient electronic filing through DPMAdirektPro
To ensure an expeditious trademark application process, we file all our trademark applications electronically at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). As attorneys-at-law, we have acquired a qualified signature card for this purpose, which enables us to effectively sign trademark applications electronically. In addition, we pay the trademark application fees to the DPMA directly during the filing process so that the DPMA can immediately start examining your trademark application.
Receiving Trademark Certificates for registered trademarks
After registration of the German trademark, the DPMA sends the trademark certificate to our office by post in paper form. If you wish, we can then send the certificate to you by post or by DHL Express. We will also be happy to store the trademark certificate for you in our secure archives at our office. If there is a dispute about your registered trademark at a later date, the trademark certificate will provide full proof in court that you are the owner of the registered trademark.
Amazon Seller Brand trademark registry
In order to register your trademark with Amazon, you need a trademark that has been previously registered with a trademark office. As soon as you have registered your German trademark with Amazon, Amazon will send us the verification code by e-mail. We, as your registered representatives, will then forward this verification code to you so that you can complete the registration process with Amazon. We receive between 5 and 10 such Amazon Verification Codes per day, which we then forward to our clients by email in a timely manner.
