ZELLER & SEYFERT again among the leading law firms for trademark applications

EU trademarks

After an extremely successful year 2020 with regard to trademark applications, ZELLER & SEYFERT is again among the top-ranked law firms for trademark law in 2021.

After a comprehensive evaluation of all trademark applications filed with the EUIPO within the year 2021, the evaluation company fovea recently published official statistics according to which ZELLER & SEYFERT is again listed among the top 3 law firms for trademark law. With 646 EU trademark applications filed, ZELLER & SEYFERT has nearly doubled the average number of trademark applications filed by the top law firms for trademark law.

ZELLER & SEYFERT enforces your right at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) to prohibit potential imitators from using your trademark name in a similar or even identical way. For the most part, we have filed trademark applications for clients from China as well as for clients from the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Germany.

German trademarks

At the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), Attorney Dr. Christian Seyfert has filed a total of 275 German trademarks in 2021. In a German comparison, this puts ZELLER & SEYFERT in 6th place for the number of German trademark applications.

In addition to trademark applications, we also handle trademark transfers and trademark renewals for our clients. We also take care of the adaptation of the trademark after expiration of the grace period (5 years) in order to support you in the best possible way.

For the trademark owners of both German and EU trademarks, whose registrations we have taken over, we also represent you in trademark disputes, in particular opposition proceedings before the trademark offices, nullity proceedings and trademark infringement proceedings before the civil courts. For this purpose, we are active before the civil courts such as the district courts and the higher regional courts, as well as before the Federal Patent Court and the European Court and the European Court of Justice.
